The role Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Join as the first dedicated product hire, taking over hands-on product design and delivery work from company leadership. You will set priorities, build quick prototypes, write clear specifications and use data to guide decisions, while serving as a thought partner to leadership on product direction. What you'll do \- Own the product plan, converting user input, analytics and business goals into priorities the team can rally behind. \- Draft concise, precise specifications that let engineers start building without extra meetings. \- Create interactive prototypes with AI tools to test ideas before engineering effort is committed. \- Analyze usage data to understand customer behavior and inform decisions. \- Lead releases from start to finish, assess the results and determine next steps. \- Work with commercial colleagues so insights from the field shape what is built. \- Help oversee the product and engineering teams alongside leadership. \- Contribute to establishing and growing the product function. ## Requirements What we're looking for \- At least 2 years of product management experience, with early-stage, marketplace or B2B software settings a plus; former founders and engineers who moved into product are welcome. \- A track record of delivering working software to users and demonstrating the measurable impact it had. \- Ability to prototype independently without waiting on a designer. \- Clear, economical writing that leaves little open to interpretation. \- Strong fluency in data and product analytics. \- Excellent product taste and the ability to make complicated experiences feel simple and clear. \- An AI-native approach, with up-to-date knowledge of new tools and real curiosity about emerging developments. \- Depth in web application products and an understanding of, or keen interest in, two-sided marketplaces. \- High agency: resourceful when things stall and able to create a process where none exists. \- Confidence leading broad, ambitious changes with full ownership, plus the patience to work through fine details. \- Genuine enthusiasm for the product itself. ## Benefits Compensation and benefits \- Base salary: USD 150,000 to 250,000 per year \- Equity \- Meals provided \- Travel and expense budget \- Personalized perks Location and work model \- New York, NY, United States \- On-site, 5 days per week in office \- Full-time ## Apply [Apply at Raydar](https://apply.workable.com/raydar/j/F08252B642/apply) --- Powered by [Workable](https://www.workable.com)
